Is your YouTube channel hiding its affiliate links?

Paste a channel. We read your last 50 video descriptions and flag every affiliate link that has no clear disclosure above the fold. Free, read-only, no login.

Heads up: a description is only part of a disclosure. The FTC also expects the disclosure to be in the video itself (spoken or on screen), and this tool cannot see inside the video. Treat PASS as "the description looks fine", not as legal clearance.

What the auditor checks

Three steps, about two seconds, nothing stored about you.

1

Finds affiliate links

Amazon (amzn.to and tag= links), Coupang, ShareASale, Impact, Awin, Rakuten, CJ, Skimlinks, ClickBank, eBay Partner Network and common tracking parameters.

2

Looks for a disclosure

Words such as affiliate, paid link, commission, sponsored, #ad, or the Amazon Associates sentence, in English and several other languages.

3

Checks the placement

PASS needs the disclosure in the first two non-empty lines, the part viewers see before "...more". Anything lower down is marked as needing a fix.

Why it matters: a 2026 academic study of about 2 million YouTube videos from roughly 540,000 creators found that most videos with affiliate links fail to meet FTC disclosure standards (arXiv 2603.04383).

Want the fix applied for you?

We are considering a self-hosted tool that adds the disclosure line to all of your existing descriptions in one pass, keeps a backup of every original, and verifies each change. It does not exist yet and nothing here is for sale. Join the list to hear first, and tell us what you would pay so we know whether to build it.

One email when it is ready, nothing else. See the privacy policy.

You are on the list. Thank you.
What would you pay once for it?

FAQ

Does this make my channel FTC compliant?

No. It is a screening aid. The FTC says disclosures should be clear and conspicuous and, for video, should appear in the video itself, not only in the description. This tool checks the description only. It is not legal advice.

Which channels and videos are covered?

Any public channel. We read up to the 50 most recent public uploads, including Shorts. Private, unlisted and members-only videos are not visible to us.

Is my data stored?

We do not ask for personal data to run an audit. Results for a channel are cached for 24 hours so repeat checks do not use YouTube quota, then they expire. Details are in the privacy policy.

Why did a video with no affiliate link say "None"?

"None" means no known affiliate link pattern was found. A plain Amazon product link without a tag is not an affiliate link. If you use a network we do not recognise yet, the link will not be flagged.

How is this different from YouTube's paid promotion checkbox?

That checkbox adds a "includes paid promotion" label to the video. It is a different feature and does not replace a clear disclosure in the video and description.
